I finished the game today on 1.04 with the so-called "XP bug" and reached lvl35 easily.......
People that claim it is game-breaking dont have a clue or just use the word "game-breaking" in a wrong way.
In the patchnotes for 1.05 are fixes included for really game-breaking or progression-stopping bugs, those are the important ones.
QOL and minor fixes (like the xp bug) should be done later.

That's not exactly the same comparison, dont you think? It's more akin to a shooter game where you dont get any new weapon/rewards after you finish a level, or a football sim where you did not win the cup even if you placed first.
Either way, the mechanics for the game (combat, quest handling) is not broken, just the xp award that is bugged at the moment. If you're that bothered, you can always install the temporary workaround mods to continue playing (just remember that grayed quests give no xp so if you install the one that still gives XP, then you can also consider yourself cheating at this game, but its SP so who cares).
Personally, i think that this is not a game breaking issue, but it is a pretty severe bug (since not 100% of the playerbase experienced this).
Marcin Momot, at least give us an update on the matter. Stop keeping us in the dark.

The person who decided to avoid communication with the customers should be fired.
I don't know if it's Marcin Momot or if some superior told him to act like that, but it's damaging the reputation of CPR and GOG massively.
In my job this behavior would result in demotion at least.

GOG Galaxy just downloaded it, it doesn't say so in the patch notes in GOG Galaxy, but if you enter the game, it says 1.05,.

if you do not hurry to solve at least the bug of points exp I think I'll fly from the game window .. steps to wait for the painful steps the stuttering frame rate and subtitle tiny (which for those who do not understand 100% English are essential) but hell do missions on missions and do not make a shred of point level 17 is too .. I had to quit in frustration!
Nice for you! Nice for you that the bug does not affect you! But just because it works for you,does not mean it will work for everyone.
Of course you can finish the Game in an an other way! But hey in a shooter you can win by killing all the others with an knife, if the weapons do not work, but if you want to kill the others by sniping, the Game is broken for you!
ATTENTION! They just released patch 1.05. Everyone go download it ASAP! I just woke up (8am here on the West Coast United States), checked the Witcher 3 page on gog and found it. Do IT!
