What about the bug in the quest in which Vernon Roche does not ride to the bridge? Does the fix to Pyres of Novigrad include this quest?

Hi everyone,

As you know we don't stop working to keep bringing you new updates - I just wanted to give you a heads-up of what to expect in the upcoming patch. The list below is a part of the change log for the 1.04/1.05. There will be a lot more fixes on the way - here's the breakdown of the most requested changes:

Geralt will not longer interact with candles near chests and other interactive elements.
General stability and performance improvements
Significantly Enlarged GUI and HUD elements (including fonts) on consoles and slightly on PC.
Improved camera smoothness
Performance improvements during some cutscenes.
Fixed case where game was crashing on loading a save in certain situations
Various bug fixes and user experience improvements in GUI panels.
Fixed issue where some players were unable to run after Wandering in the Dark quest
Fixed issue where players were unable to talk to Eight after the Lord of Undvik quest
Too many wild hunt minions were spawned during Ciri's Story: Fleeing the Bog quest.
Fixed issue where Keira could sometimes fall under terrain during Wandering in the Dark quest
Fixed issue where Player was unable to move freely during Blindingly Obvious quest
Fixed issue where Player was unable to activate portal during Wandering in the Dark quest
Fixed issue where Player could get trapped in Turseach castle ruins
Fixed issue where Roche was not present at Hanged Man's tree during Eye for an Eye quest
Fixed issue where Player was unable to talk or interact with certain NPCs
Fixed issue where Sirens in quest Lord of Undvik could be invulnerable.
Fixed issue where player was unable to use certain actions after Carnal Sins quest
Fixed issue where Geralt was sometimes unable to mount Roach
Fixed issue where some players where experiencing infinite loading screen during King's Gambit quest.
Fixed issue where Simun was not properly spawned in An Unpaid Debt quest
Fixed issue where player might have had a progression break after choosing certain dialogue option when talking to Dijkstra in Count Reuven's Treasure quest

The Pyres of Novigrad quest is of course going to be fixed as well as the XP glitch.

Does this patch include the fixing of the PS4 error code CE-34878-0 ? It's rendered the game unplayable as no save game files will load, and I refuse to start again when I have put in 60+ hours.

I need this bug fixed to carry on with gwent, Dijsktra is nowhere to be found on Novigrad and I can't finish Big City Players mission and that means I can't enter the Big Stakes tornament! This is bugging me real hard and I'd really like if CD puts Dijsktra back as a NPC after finishing the game.

Expecting graphical enhancements so soon is just stupid, let them fix quest bugs and gameplay elements first.

They CLEARLY need to work on the game optimization... they clearly showed that they barely worked on the release version at see how it run like crap ( even with the super graphic downgrade )
If they didnt loosed 2years working on their bullshit version maybe the game would run perfectly and look way better....

But yeah gameplay element is also as important

Fixed issue where Player was unable to talk or interact with certain NPCs

Marcin / CDPR

Will the 1.04 / 1.05 patch fix the issue of not being able to speak with the the innkeeper at the Arinbjorn tavern in Skellige after completing The Phantom of Eldberg Contract?

The innkeeper cannot be interacted with afterwards and thus the player can't purchase Gwent cards from him.

Thanks

Thank you very much, everyone at CDPR.
Your continuous support makes me feel relieved.
My Bloodshot Eyes also wanna thank you for the upcoming Font-Size-Patch. :D

Edit: Sometimes I'm barely able to loot Items from Chests (or Barrels etc.) because the "X"-Button prompt won't show up.
A popular Example would be the "Wandering in the Dark"-Quest where you'll eventually come across a yellow-glowing Statue indicating that it's lootable, but I had to run in circles and try every angle/distance until I found out that you've got to look at the frozen Golem on the left while standing in front of the Chest.

Greetings!

Thx for update Marcin. Is there a way to report a quest problem? In Practicum in advanced alchemy I can't finish the quest since I got one of the quest items (alcohol formula) way before I started this quest. Therefore the quest completion trgigger does not activate despite having the required item in my inventory (yes i tried reading it - does not help). Best regards.

Don't forget about bug in abandoned place in White Orchard (spot near the small bridge) which cannot be freed.
And keep in mind when you did quest (in White Orchard as well) "Dirty Funds" you cannot do quest "Deserter Gold" and vice versa.

That's something I came across in the Prologue when I found the Griffin's Nest way before I actually got the corresponding Quest.
But when I finally got the Quest my Journal said I failed the part where I've got to investigate the Nest.
Now I'm a bit nervous exploring the World risking to mess up possible Quests.
Well, only wanted to share my Informations with you.

I'm sure this too will soon be fixed :3

How about a fix micro friezes (jerks while traveling Geralt foot, on horseback and on foot)? They greatly strain the eyes and look unpleasant. As far as I'm concerned, this problem has very many players. Under these friezes is no fall FPS. And so they may disappear if you leave and go to the game several times.

Exploring the world BEFORE getting started potential quests is very risky ;) .

Hehe, yeah that's true. But I will always only go to places where the Main-Quest already lead me to and then I'd usually start to explore the surrounding "?"-Markers bit by bit.

Except for the Prologue-Area, where I randomly explored every corner. lol

I think they did address the micro stutter issue as: "Improved camera smoothness".

Also with treasure hunt 'Dirty Funds'. I did it in the wrong order and the quest is still unfinished in my journal and I can't complete it. I read all the notes, all is looted in the areas.

Yep got the same idea Bro. It should be made clear for new players :). Even taking unquested items early on is often pointless since they are so much above your level.
