Generally you can’t make a arch enemy something esoteric.
So you can’t make a death, City or a biochip since they don’t have the personality that could shape the relationship with the protagonists.
And this relationship is what is producing the tension in the story.
They can’t because they have no agenda.
Not at least in the mainstream release.
You can make a character story where it’s about the character and how he or she reacts to some unchangeable events. Like for ex death.
this was the premise of Nier Automata that was executed into the true masterpiece
but here it’s not the case and never will be.

tho with the rest I admit that removing plot cancer would fix most of them.

This is also why the plot cancer is so bad.
I humbly disagree.
The sword hanging over V shaped the character in an interesting way. Suddenly, big money and fame were secondary and V started to concentrate on what is important.
Characters facing certain death are able to do astonishing things. Elysium come to my mind.
Another example of the protagonist dying, while achieving something greater.

Certain death could have strengthened V in the long term.

It's off course up to how you play the character within the limitations of the game.

Even if we take that news that they had to cut over 40Gb of content with a big grain of salt, that may indicate they planed a larger world map around NC, or another map were in "Part 2" you will pursue to find a possible cure. 40+Gb is the logical size of quite a big map with high-quality textures and sounds. 50k+ lines of dialogues sound about right for one big DLC with the new area.
even if you were speaking chinese my good man, you sold me :)

I should add: sounds plausible. time will tell... but I must admit I'm getting curious to its validity.

Yes, this is a diagnostic . When you get such a conclusion, you need to be treated / repaired.
And the diagnosis is : you're dying. There i no cure.

Yes, really. This is completely not her field of knowledge. She left the problem of organics over 50 years ago.
I doubt that digital AI, cut off from reality, had the ability and motive to be interested in advanced medicine.
You don't know that. You cannot be sure of that. It's only your opinion about it and nothing more. You do not know what Alt knows or doesn't knows, you don't know which systems she may have consulted. You fail to understand what an AI is in a Cyberpunk setting.

This is completely different from cancer.
Yep, it's an auto immune disease and the outcome is death. Different cause, same result.

And, apparently, in 2077 people do not know a single disease or drug that suppresses the immune system.
Well, I also said times and times again that CDPR writing sucks. I'm not the game-master here, CDPR is. So, you know who you should blame for that.

I personally think that it's mostly the epilogue that sucks... Together with an off pacing in act 2.

The rest is OK. I did not found anything astonishingly bad or something that broke my suspension of disbelief. Not even stout managed that.

So also in current state of the story simple "To be continued..." should be sufficient enough to buy some time for devs and calm the community

seriously!! is there any chance that cyberpunk team edit the ending?!?! At least one ending that V doesn't die in it?!?!? you know the whole game was about to remove the chip and get back to normal life!! I choosed the ending with "Panam".....Of course it was great till last 30 minutes and then it ruined all!!!!!! It ruined the whole game's goal:((((((((( Is there any chance that they change or add anything?!?!? Can we contact them?? Do they even care:(((((((

Even shizophrenic alco- and narco-addict detective from Disco Elsysium had a meaningful choices and closure)

Yeah. That's a possibility.

I would even touch the game again if they manage to make it playable on Xbox.
But since I had to delete all my characters, re-download the game several times and still did not get working cyberware, I will only touch the game again if they fix the epilogue and give me my next gen upgrade.

I never said otherwise. The ending suck because of that 6 month condemnation.
The rest is rather well done, but the crappy endings finally leave a bad taste of the whole game.
It's astonishing how one crappy decision can ruin a otherwise good story.

If nothing else it would show that stuff is yet to come in an act where we are asking for it (amongst others). so it would definately help in easing some tension because it gives us some validation... IF they deliver.

But if I recall there were also some sounds for other content that was desired, such as have an open world that can be explored without immediately having the doomsday clock in our heads.
So the "to be continued" is not the be all end all I'd reckon.

We're back to the beginning. The diagnosis is as follows. Not a word about the fact that there is no cure.
You don't know that. You cannot be sure of that. It's only your opinion about it and nothing more.
Of course. As well as yours. Why, then, even refer to Alt, if her knowledge in this matter is extremely dubious and is not confirmed by anything.
Yep, it's and auto immune disease and the outcome is death. Different cause, same result.
Without treatment, yes. But the bottom line is that Helman's words are no longer worth anything if you don't choose Arasaka.

I have already offered my own version of the scenario for dlc. V fucks a nomad with AIDS and the problem is solved. What's worse than the original plot? It seems at the same level.

Shaping but in the way that s/he is preoccupied with survival. There is not other agenda.
They didn’t even bother making one.
From the backstory you can force some elements like anti corpo stance, but did the game make this a focal/major point? Nope.

In elysium the premise of the movie was from very beginning the inequality.
Here? Abyss.

There is even a problem because this game was about character (V survival) and ends up in the last second as a adventure story where it’s about the world.
Did it even make this a point? Nope, it practically comes out of nowhere.

People might not even get this but they sense that story is completely illogical.
This shatteres the whole narrative and trigger chain reaction blowing story with it, and since it’s the story driven game game it’s self.

I happily quote it once more:

I just want, what seemingly Pondsmith had in mind from the get go and that is saving myself (V) and my loved ones(Judy and River - Panam and Kerry for others). That´s practically all i ask for. Sure still many people would die (Jackie, Evelyn, etc.), but at least that would make up for it. It is the reason worth it all.

What is wrong with wanting something, that should´ve obviously been there anyways and supposedly the main task!

And if I don´t beat the main task in any game, it´s game over and i failed!!! And Pondsmith himself said that this is the main task! So there´s no beating this game as of current!
