I'm in Velen at the stage after completing the Crones of Crookback Bog scenario. During my last playthrough, I opted to kill the Spirit of the Whispering Hillock and encountered no stuttering, but this time, I opted to free it. Upon returning to the orphanage in the swamp and encountering the Crones, the game has begun noticeably stuttering in the area of Croockback Bog. The rest of Velen seems to run fine. Only the entire swamp and areas around Downwarren experience the stutter. Once I leave that area and venture into other parts of Velen, the stuttering stops.
After researching online, I see that Black Beauty will eventually destroy the village. Could this lag be caused by the game processing whether to trigger the destruction of the village?
