The witcher 3 next-gen ray tracing performance issue: unnecessary use of large amount of shared vram causing FPS drop

Theoretically, only after dedicated vram is used up, shared vram should be used. But this game insists on using large amount of shared vram even there is enough dedicated vram (no matter your video card has 4,8,10,12,16 or 24GB vram), which will cause FPS drop. When over 4GB shared vram is used, even RTX 4090 will kneel down. By contrast, in Cyberpunk 2077, only serveral MB shared vram is used, which suggests this issue is not a real issue, but a issue of optimization. I hope CDPR could solve this issue in the next patch.

I don't think there is going to be a "next patch" since it's been over 8 months since the 4.04 patch ..... This looks to be as good as it ever is going to get
