Looks like driver crashes and hard freezes are NVidia users' curse, and there is information that NVidia is working on the fix
The thing is, people are having crashes with drivers before that... The crashes/TDRs that Nvidia tech is responding to are the random crashes/TDRs happening in general, like on the desktop/in web browsers. The most recent three drivers have proven unstable for many.
I have personally been using the 347.88 drivers for a while now and I still crash all the time in the Witcher 3. It is quite literally the only program on my computer that crashes like this. It isn't an overclock, as I don't mess with that stuff. It isn't program conflicts as my PC has almost nothing on it other than games, unless you think Skype or Chrome are crashing it. And I play a fudge ton of other games entirely devoid of incident.
But I launch up some Witcher 3 and whether after five minutes or after two hours, eventually it hard freezes and I have to reset my PC.
