What are red points and orens?

HELPpoints are given when a user makes a thread in Tech Support and then marks a post as helpful/solved, e.g. this thread.

Still unsure how to give reds I clicked on red point box in bottom right corner of persons text box but does not give option to give point.

REDpoints are basically "likes"; often given for posts you like/agree with/want to thank the poster for.
As for HELPpoints:

Thanks for the REDpoints @EvanDavidson! However, a fair bit of the information provided in this thread is no longer accurate due to a Forum migration back in May 2018. Thus I feel obligated to let everybody know that there are no longer features such as HELPpoints or Orens. Also, the achievements mentioned in a few places in this thread are no longer accurate. Since the thread is no longer relevant to the current forum setup, I will be closing it.
