I know, wrong picture. If you remember, he laid his sword on shoulder while running in strong style.
@
shinobi2u As I said earlier, I love your vision of Ciri more than CDPR's. Good work and I hope you wouldn't get any more troubles before finishing this masterpiece.

You were saying?
Both of the stances are correct. To be precise, it's both the same stance or
Hut called
Vom Tag in Liechtenauer's way of sword fencing.
The stance in shinobi2u's picture on the other hand is not. BUT: As I see it, it might work well enough, if Ciri is about to do a one-handed swing. It still doesn't make a lot of sense, but it works very well aesthetically, so why not?
More details on why it doesn't make much sense:
You wouldn't do one-handed swings with a long sword, but Geralt from the games does it too, so yeah.
That particular stance is not very versatile. It lacks the option to do anything else but a one-handed, horizontal slash.
As Ciri is right-handed (right hand near the crossguard, left hand on the pommel), from that stance, she'd be attacking from her weaker side, not particularly desirable.
It's a long, long way + getting a grip with her left hand for her to defend herself.
But as I said, the aesthetics are great. And that's worth a lot more than getting details right no one knows about, anyways. I absolutely love her face in that picture. Can't wait for the final piece.
