BIG bug with crossbow! please help {spoilers}

So i am doing the secondary quest: Turn aand face the strange, and now i am stuck in this room where i have to hit 4 stones with my crossbow or aard. but my crossbow does not work on the stones. it doesnt seem to trigger. please help! i am stuck for over an hour now!

Hi,

These stones have relatively small hitboxes and hitting them might prove challenging sometimes. Use precision shooting and/or try to Aard the stone if it's the one near you. If you're positive that you've exhausted all possible methods to activate the mechanism, yet it still does not work, please let us know using this form http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/ - remember to provide all necessary info in the support form and attach your save file from before the issue occured if you're playing on PC.

The targeting dot doesn't appear for me so I can't hit the last block.
