Geralt thinking out loud - Why?

The old lady mocking Geralt for talking to himself is still in my top 5 favorite moments in the game. I laffed so hard.

I watched a video of that quest now and somehow that joke must have flown by my attention.

Well... It´s not that uncommon for people who spend most of their time alone to talk to themselves x)

Luckily it's not so bad that he calls his horse Yennefer.

Here's what I'm imagining Geralt saying when asked about talking to himself:
"It's a helpful mind technique. I imagine another person, or a being, like an observer, watching over me, and exchanging information with that being, bouncing off ideas and such, provides me with guidance, helps me decide what to do next and where to go."

I think stealth would've added a nice perspective to the gameplay, assassination type moves and the such.

There are other games for that. ;-)
And Geralt isn't even trained in the Viper school.

Yeah I love that one, - if they just had him say it around when the weather icon switches to rain instead of a half minute after it actually starts coming down, it might go over better....
