Is NG+ still bugged levelling wise?

+
LOL, OK I can see how it might be possible. But still, and this is not meant as a criticism, but when I think about the way RezoInverse talks about it, all I can picture is this:

That is... a little bit of offensive... but being South Park is cool because, It is just to much funny.hahaha

But seriously, playing just some hours for most days for 9 months... You can have a normal life, and still get a higher level. I even could had done better, if i didn't had started and finished a NG+, months ago

It is possible to break one's save file and make it act incorrectly in NG+ by using Exp Exploit or cheats. Did you use any? Normally New Game Plus is unlocked by reaching level 35 and completing the main story of W3 and leveling works correctly in this scenario.

It's somewhat insulting to accuse people of using an exploit - especially based on such erroneous reasoning (e.g., the fact that there are Blood and Wine quests around level 49 or so in NG, it's obvious that NG+ is/can be reached at a level well above 35).

Rather than putting the blame on those who simply played the game the way it was designed - although thoroughly so - perhaps it's better to reflect on what can be done to fix the issue for those of us that have put hundreds of hours into your otherwise amazing game (e.g., cap everything at 100, remove the 100 cap, etc.).

This is not meant as an accusation or as blame. It's simply been discovered that certain issues with XP or leveling have arisen when players used certain mods, cheats, or exploits in the past.

So, if you've used such things, there may be no way to undo the damage now.

If you have never used such things, then that consideration doesn't apply to you. Continue posting any issues you're encountering.

Work is ongoing for the title, but the devs need to prioritize what they work on. While this is certainly an issue affecting a lot of players, it may still take some time to sort it out.

Even so whether you cheated or not, this oversight should be of consideration, not whether about you cheated or not. Because the way it has been put so far is that "well you cheated so there probably aren't any solutions", yeah sure but this also applies to non-exploiters who legitimately reached well past level 50. So if there isn't going to be any solutions for cheaters than there might as well be no solutions to those legitimate. AND even then this is a single-player game.

You should be prioritizing PLAYERS not whether someone cheated or not. So if there is anyone who has encountered the bug legitamately or not, IT NEEDS to be taken to consideration not the word game "you cheated so we ain't fixin' it," and that still applies to non-cheaters too.

Low to middling mid 50's might cause problems too, No one has answered, so we just don't know.

This is so annoying...

Whenever I try to play the game there is a new bug that breaks it for me. -.-
Same here.If there is bugs,no way I could avoid it, always.

Im lvl 70 now in ng + middle in novigrad quests, and so far nothing is over lvl 100. Hope this doesn't change.
Started Ng+ with lvl 54.

If someone uses exploits or cheats, it doesn't mean we won't look into an issue when it's reported. We try to investigate every case.

We've run local tests and after starting NG+ with level 53 Geralt (finished both expansions from standalone save, did all the side content)... and we did not encounter any issues with quests or items in late game after reaching level 100.

If you encounter any issues without using exploits, please contact us via http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/ and we will check it.

Thanks REDk, exactly the info we as players need. Love your work and dedication.:geraltfeelgood:

Well I'm afraid it would, Lv70 in novigrad quests means Lv100+ in B&W.

Hmph now i lost my motivation to play further....
And nooo i don't used any mods or exploits, just played the game like it should be played...

Read REDkatja's post. Level 53 is good, 54 at most gives things one level over if at all. Your good to go.

No one is saying the problem is not being addressed. The present fixes are being prioritized based on the severity of their impact on all players across the board, as well as how definite the cause/solution is. The leveling bug is actually not an issue that affects the majority of players (though it does seem to be a good number!), and it's also not clear where the core problem is stemming from. Issues that will affect all players universally and those that can be locked down and fixed with more certainty will be given priority.

If a player used a cheat / exploit / mod in the past, it's not that anyone is saying, "You cheated so we ain't fixin' it" -- it's that it may not be fixable. Things like that can sometimes create values that shouldn't exist in the save-state, and it may be unique to each player, depending on what they did before and after they used said cheat / exploit / mod. Other times, fixing that problem can cause much more severe problems elsewhere.

In the end, I'm sure this issue will receive more attention in due time and some fixes will be found.

Yep I thanks to that. I did use bug but that was a longtime ago the game was at version 1.04 so when these Lv100+ quest and monster come in NG+ with 1.21 and B&W there is really nothing I can do about it ,I just hope it will get fixed.I really regret not start a NG+ before 1.21 and B&W.

From what I'm gathering on a few different discussions concerning this, the 100+ level thing seems to be a result of having used a cheat or exploit in the past (even without realizing it!)

The sudden leap in levels, from say the 30's to the 50's seems to be a bug residing somewhere in the engine, and that might be potentially causing problems with NG+.

Then again, both issues may be affecting certain players. I do hope they can eventually track down some sort of solution. The best advice I can give in the interim is to simply begin a new game. I'm playing through Velen now, and the only major issue I've had to deal with is Roach's tail going missing.

Even your level 53 Geralt will have problems in NG+. Just to give two examples, The Tufo Monster quest is level 48 and The Perks of Being a Jailbird is level 49 in NG, so you're Level 53 Geralt would have these quests as requiring levels 101 and 102 respectively in NG+ - not to mention several gear requirements that would be above 100 and therefore unusable by players who, like you, did not use exploits to get to the low-to-mid 50s level-wise in their NG.

These are just examples of the problems that we are talking about needing a fix.

I am not sure you're correct in your assessment of the problem. I think it's just a mathematical oversight - specifically that when the value of some quests/gear in NG+ (e.g., 48 or 49) is added to the level of some players' characters legitimately attained without exploits by the end of NG (e.g., 53), the resulting sum will exceed the level 100 cap constraining players in NG+.

I understand there are other problems, but I just hope this eventually gets fixed.
