Patch 1.03 Blood Decals

Hey everyone,

Just managed to crawl through the patch download and was hoping that the devs have fixed the decal issue, but on the patch notes regarding blood - it only labelled
"
  • Blood particles will now properly appear after killing enemies on the water"

So I decided to go in game and give it a test, and nope, decals are still missing from the game. When will the bug be fixed devs?

PS. The patch is awesome : ) great stability fixes, im seeing nice fps increases and no texture pop ups after editing foliage density - but.. im hungry for them decals! make it happen! <3

I should clarify - It's the decals when enemies are hit, blood splattering on the ground. Not the blood pool after they die, nor the newly fixed blood pool on water.

It's great they got a patch out so quickly. Hopefully the blood will be fixed after the more priority stuff is done. I would also like a way to increase the duration of the blood decals, tbh. I've not found anything in the ini files yet, that has any affect. They vanish right in front of you about 1-2 seconds after hitting the ground lol.

It's a bit uh, odd looking.

I apologize for not being clear on my OP. I agree that the intention of this patch's blood fix is working. What I'm referring to is, as enemies get hit, they will spill or splatter some blood on the ground - i'm not talking about the blood pool found after they die.
 
The water blood is working. And it is looking damn awesome!
But the blodd splatter on the ground is still missing sadly. I really hope they patch it in fast :)
 
Yes. I'm very happy they return blood in water, but how about blood splatter too?
Also I don't understand, why blood disappear so quickly. Tried playing with config file - seems this parameters fixed in engine.
 
Yeah I miss that. It was a particle based blood system. Thats what made blood actually look like blood. Looks kinda awful now.

People with high quality rigs should be able to achieve it. Hopefully they'll take that into consideration.

Be sure that after you tweak tweak the user settings, you go to properties for the file and make it "read on;y" so that the game doesnt override your changes upon launch.

No, they are just locked like ubersampling, or alternative look of Triss/ Ienn/Ciri.
If I'm wrong, post video of improved blood that stay longer.

BTW that method with read only file have no sence and don't work. It's really very old one, I remember this works in some games 3-4 years ago.
Game override only some of incorrect options.
And all this options remain the same after you run game, play and close.
 
I get the blood in the water but it always vanishes after like 3 seconds. Is there a way to increase the duration of it?
 
I would like to know that as well. And not just in the water. I would like to know how to make it visible longer on the ground as well.

Yep that is the problem im looking around to be able to find a fix.

Its when you hit enemies that the blood disappears too fast not after they die but i havent tried to test and see if its working on water
