Hey,
I had an idea about combat, or more specifically, sword glyphs.
In Witcher 3, glyphs gave percentual bonuses to stuff like damage, etc...
So, I was thinking, what if they gave new ability combos...?
The main point is that Witcher's combat is very diverse, with many dodges, rolls, side strikes, etc...and these could be mapped to sequences of key presses - like:
- fast attack + left arrow (or A) = side strike from left
- dodge + Aard = deflect incoming projectiles
- jump + hold attack (heavy attack) = heroic leap forward
- ...
This could work with glyphs too (they would enable using signs in combination with physical attacks), e.g.:
- left arrow + right arrow + Igni = spray Igni around (while striking with sword)
- heavy attack + Aard = swing a sword, producing a wave of wind, pushing or knocking enemies,...
