The default is 4K Mode, and when I try to change it to Performance Mode, the setting doesn't appear to take: If I back out to the main pause menu and then went back into Advanced under the display options, it would appear that the setting had reverted to 4K. Has any one found a remedy for this? I have looked everyhere and read of others with same problem and a quote from the company that they were going to fix this but it still seems broken.
Most likely there‘s not going to be another patch anytime soon.
Did you try changing the settings of your TV? Maybe you can avoid the 4K mode by switching to different TV settings? But I don‘t have the pro version or a 4K Screen, so I‘m just guessing.

This is the only way I was able to stop continuous crashes on my XBox One X. Moving that slider to "performance". It works!
