Would TW3 be playable on this PC?

Hello, I plan to buy a new PC, and I would like to know if TW3 would be playable on it.

RAM: 8GB
Video card: AMD Radeon R7 240
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 4460 (3,2 GHz)

It all depends of what you intend to do with that PC of course, but in your stead, I would be considering paying less for my CPU, and more for my GPU. Swapping them will get things done better for gaming.

So, keeping your budget the same, you'd better invest in a cheaper CPU (less than 100$) and a better GPU (about 150/200$)

Check those pages to get the best out of your budget. They are meant to be valid for anyone, no matter if your budget is low, medium or high, you'll get the best out of your money.

GPU : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/best-gpus,review-33382.html

I was thinking of buying that custom-built PC (price: 489.99 €), not to build one myself. So I was interested, if it would run the game.

Minimum System Requirements

• Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz | AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
• Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 | AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
• RAM 6GB
• OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
• Direct X 11
• HDD Space 40 GB

The R7 240 is below minimum and is not an entry-level GPU for AAA games, however users have been able to run the game on low. Is it playable? well it depends. With everything on low at resolutions up to 1024x768 you will average a framerate on 25, give or take.

Try to find a website who can build custom PC, I'm not sure where you are from but that would very likely be a better bangs for bucks. The config you are considering if very unbalanced for gaming, and is technically, not made for gaming at all. So, it won't work, if at all

I found this video, so I guess it should do the trick. Not as good as, but I wouldn't like to pay extra 200€ or something just to play this game slightly better:

It's extremely stuttering. I'd say it's probably about 15-20 fps. Really, don't pay extra 200 bucks, but try to find a place where you can get a custom PC for the price of the rig you're interested in. You'll get better performance for the same price.

I'll look into those custom built PC offers more, then. Will see if I find something, for a reasonable price.

Well, it will be no fun for you, if you play the Witcher 3 on that particular GPU. (R7 240)

Near 20 fps are not something you wanna take for very long. You will get dizzy, believe me.

We talking about 720p, near 20 fps, and low settings!

Why you don't let the store or even a friend built it for you?
Building it yourself, will get you much more bang for your buck.

I really love the ASUS Republic of Gamers line. They're solid systems, and pricing can be quite competitive. (I've always found the best prices online.) Their systems tend to be greater than the sum of their parts, and you'll find mid-range systems in the 500-600 € range.

It's always the best deal to price out components you wish to include, then put it together yourself or order it through a custom shop. Just drop of the parts and pay for the labor.

Hello again, another question. I've got an offer of a PC with this (GPU+CPU): http://products.amd.com/en-gb/searc...r-Desktops/A10-7700K-with-Radeon™-R7-Series/8 and 8GB RAM.
I've seen some videos with it (assuming it was this, but not entirely sure), and graphics seemed to be still quite bad, even though FPS were 30+. Also, the thing is.. this would cost me only 365€ (original price 546€). Kinda tempted to buy that, as TW series would be only games I'd be playing..

It will run, but on low resolutions (and can't vote for 720p) and 30 fps, perhaps.

Read the Radeon R7 7700K Game Requirement Analysis carefully...

..add in the appropriate fields:

Select CPU...: AMD APU A10-7700k Quad-Core

Select Ram
...: 8GB

Select Game...: The Witcher III

and press Can you run it?

See the estimated Recommended and Minimum performance

RED bar indicates it doesn't meet the requirements!

You will get something like this: http://imgur.com/xnEkF7E

This one should do the trick just fine for The Witcher 3, and that goes for Fallout 4 as well.

You can see a YouTube video for any doubts!

Keep in mind, the guy has overclocked his CPU to 4.0GHz - but really it isn't necessary as the stock CPU clock is more that enough for getting playable fps. If you wanna play at 900p, it's even better. (1440x900)

Fallout 4 should play fine also, if you ever consider to buy that game.

Have a nice day! :welcome:

Note: Anything lower that an FX-6300 (as AMD concerns) and lower than a GTX 950 as Nvidia graphics concerns, would lower your gaming experience, and lower your gaming choices (drastically) as well.

I'll toss this in there:

I was unable to play the game well on an ASUS RoG G71, i7-3960QM, GTX 670m, with 24 GB RAM. At 1280x720 res, all graphics at Low-Medium, I would drop to single digit FPS in Oxenfurt or Novigraad. That same system could play Skyrim, Ultra settings at 1600x900 like silk. This is a demanding game.

You would be better off buying a ps4 and playing it on that for your budget.

I'm a PC type. :)
Also, I bought this PC, but it had a problem, so had to take it to repair right away.. Well, will do so on next Monday.
