Patch 1.12 out now!

+
Go try an MMO, pay $15 bucks a month.,... then after they have repeatedly taken your money while treating you like a piece of crap useless customer that deserves to be punched for supporting them, come on back for a whole new perspective on a game with Devs/Etc... that give a crap. A game you pay for once with 10's or 100's of hours of replayability with more free DLC than I have ever seen before and your whining about some pet bug of yours breaking immersion...

See ya. Dibs on his boots.

I play some MMOs (EVE Online, The Elder Scrolls Online, Elite Dangerous and more), and I'm very happy with their support. I'm not whining, just expressing my point of view. And my point of view is that you can't excuse the bad support with the free DLCs which, while enjoyable, aren't that "big" and on top of it were probably removed from the base game, or just not finished in time. And should I remember you that HoS and BaW are not free? These are big and undoubtly great extensions, but still, fact is they are not free and aren't comparable in any way with the free little contents you're talking about. These free DLCs were more of a marketing and communication strategy than anything else. So now, feel free to ignore it if you don't agree with my opinion, but avoids being disrespectful cause I don't call you a fanboy even if I think you are. Oh, damn, sorry, in fact I did.

Damn, there are always people thinking they know better the subject than you do, and while not knowing a shit about you, don't hesitate to tell you that you should go play this or that and come back later with a different opinion. I have more than 650 Steam games and I have been playing on PC for over 20 years now, so... think what you want, express your opinion about the game (and not about me) like everybody else is doing, but don't say me what to think.

Edit
Not saying in any way that HoS and BaW should be free, just to clarify.

CD Projekt, the company that keeps on giving. Gotta love 'em. Thanks for the update!

For anyone curious, it's 3.6GB on GoG to me.
True and true! 3.3 GB on GOG Galaxy (I love it, seriously. No issues with it since install in May/15)
Nice way to start 2016!
Thanks to the whole team through @Burza46

NEWGAME+ is buggy as hell. Skellige most wanted. wolf school gear. where the cat and wolf play. the fools gold etc all bugged

I gotta reply to just this bit :

(we aren't speaking of a small "hard to spot" animal here, we are talking about a whole big "in your face" part of the scenery that you can't (never) miss

I have never once seen a whale in this game. :D

Bug!? :D

(lucky you...)

Bad luck I say. Which plataform? On PC I have never had those bugs after they were fixed the first time.

@nolankotulan Who's we you keep mentioning? I've never had any issues with whales at all. And try playing Bioware Games, including DA:Origins which I really love and DA:Inquisition, latest on the franchise and a really good game after all. Or the Gothics, another spectacular game series. You won't see any scabbards at all. Bioware always said it was technically impossible for n reasons they pointed out. CDPR not only gave us scabbards but even a sweet touch on it when Geralt is sheathing his swords! Have you noticed it? 3 months w/out scabbards on NPC? Really? Who cares?!! Geralt has his and that should be enough to minimize some visual glitch which was unintended. Different from games, great games, that will never have them even on the Main Character! I'm glad I spent over 1.500 hours with this game because I feel I know a lot of what made it to the top of my favorite games and yet, I've been always a critic of things they could improve or broke with new patches. They never replied directly to me but I do feel they've been listening.

There are other people which reported the whales animation bug in different topics on the PC support forum. Not gonna search the threads now. About the scabbards, I agree, but fact is that it is totally incomprehensible to me to let people play their game with broken (probably relatively easy to fix) (even only visual) design and/or features for 3 months while this could be quickly fixed with hotfixes. This is more of an exemple or an evidence (for me) of the lack of effort put in the efficiency of the support. Not saying this is such a big deal by itself or anything like that. But it's one thing, plus one thing, plus one thing... and at the end, it's a lot of things that just don't work as intended and are sometimes, yes, really annoying, disturbing, immersion breaking or even game breaking (not talking about the scabbards here of course). Sure, there are no scabbards in some other games, but now that we know there are in TW3, what happens when you don't see them anymore? You notice that something is broken, and then that it has been left broken for 3 months. And simple fact is that the game has been released 8 months ago now, and that some persons like me still can't enjoy the game normally.

Dear CDPR,

at first let me thank you for your continuous patch support. You guys are awesome. :) I'm really excited how many new little things you secretly have added with this patch. I just noted the new bomb icons, they look really nice!

-------------

So folks, I just sorted out my mods... the following need updates:

modCloseWalkingCam
modFriendlyHUD
modImmersiveHUD
modManualCam
modRefillAlcohol [ALREADY UPDATED]
modTenzRoachCam

Even Gopher's mod needs an update, after like 10 months? :D FriendlyHUD will probably be updated in like 3 days... the author is very eager. :) I really hope CloseWalkingCam will be patched in the near future as well. This mod has become an essential part of the game for me.

The following mods still work without a problem:

modAlternateLSInteraction_IgniOnly
modFlameTheDragon_Lexars
modGeraltHairLod
modGwentArachasFix
modHairLodIncrease
modNoForcedWeaponSwitch
modNoMonsterLevel
modNoNaturalVitalityRegen
modOriginalMainMenu
modSilverShines
modToxicityCleanScreen
modYrden

Well, technically the "whale animation bug" is not a bug, it's an animation "LOD". If you're close to a whale, the animation won't "stuck". I'd say it's an oversight. Maybe someone can adjust it via a mod(just increasing the Animation LOD for the whales to infinity :) )

Nope, I can't confirm that as, while the whale being stuck, I can even reach it and touch it with the boat. Close or far, the whales remain stuck the same. There's indeed something related to our movements as the animation sometimes plays again when you move forward or change direction and remain stuck when you don't move, but most of the time the animation remains stuck even until I get close to it. Maybe the animation is a LOD (but still, why would the whale LOD animation remain stuck?) but there's still a bug, as it shouldn't appear so close to us, to the point I can reach it, and probably shouldn't remain stuck, you'll have to agree on this.

:)

Fixes issue whereby launching The Witcher 3 on systems running the Windows OS
discarded sRGB settings in users' ICC profiles.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, so much!!! So few game developers actually care about us minority with hardware calibrated monitors. I love you! :affection:
Without calibration, my monitor has a noticeable red tint and playing in borderless windows takes quite a toll on performance. Really great news! :)

is there an oil indicatior intergrated with the new patch?

just wonder.
because the mod authoer said they intergrated it
but i cant see any option for it in the game!

Yes, it is there.. if you use a oil on a sword, if you pick him up a small indicator shows up where indicators for used potions usually are

Visual:
Improves transitions between distinct scenes and gameplay sequences.

Could it be ?

By the way, thanks for your continuous support dear CDPR.

Found some interesting stuff in the new files - but I will not spoil anything.

Any gameplay stuff that you can share then, as those aren't that much of a spoiler? Like new Runewords etc?

Some on reddit posted this image. Toussaint?!

It must be that city that Blood & Wine takes place in. I'm unsure why they would add a world marker for it if it's unfinished. I just hope that the overall size of the map for Blood & Wine is big enough that you can lose yourself exploring like what Velen does.

So did the oil always dissipate after a set number of hits? I thought that it went away after a certain amount of time, I seem to recall the oil lasting longer (I could be wrong). Also, I really dislike the new art direction for the bomb icons, they look rather cartoonish...

They fix perun runestones not working properly on wolf steel and silver swords? I'm at work right now and I'm dying to know... Been waiting eagerly for this patch :)
