What changes do we want to see in the next patch?

vernon roche (spy) should honestly be changed, and I say that as someone who mainly plays NR this patch. this effect has no right to be in an engine faction, especially since everyone plays it with hen gaidth sword and pincer.

The randomness of Roche makes it okay-ish. I would worry more about Defender + Portal or any combination of good engines.

I think it's a pretty good effect actually, reminds me of old Vilgefortz. It can be very strong sure but if you don't build a proper deck around it and or time it incorrectly you can easily get screwed. There are more reliable neutral options as R4M mentioned that I'd look at first.

most NR players I encounter play roche+sword over portal and I totally see why. imo it's pretty broken and unnecessary in the defender meta, with pincer people can get something like 5 or 6 units on the board in 2 turns, most of which hurt pretty bad when they stick.
but you're entitled to have a different opinion of course.

I would like to see Keltullis be brought back in strength. I don't know what possessed them to make him 9 points unless they wanted to have a little Imlerith Sabbath throwback moment. It will usually come down when it's about to kill a 3/4 making it 12/13 for 11 and from then on counting. They've made it go from an exciting niche card to just an example of cheap BS in my opinion.

It's not like you can just blow your tall removal on him at the first opportunity because it's Monsters you're playing against. (Yghern, Ozzrel, hooray)
 
How about revert back to beta gwent as a change for next patch?

More like restart old Gwent like separate game with new accounts.Its can be win-win situation for CDPR, and very possibal to have great snowball effect if some big names is back in game.For myself i will invest 100 euro for new cards.Old LOVE never die!
 
Kaedweni Revenant should be allowed to create copies in the other row if his own is full - game should force player to deal with opponent Revenant's threats like with every other engines in the game, instead of dealing with them with 9-cards row limit

Definitely one broken combo, for sure. Not quite as bad as Skellen Bribery somehow creating your two best cards, before Letho - Skellen does even more damage.

Don't know if you are serious or not. I think it would rather be a lose lose situation. Splitting the community, having to maintain two versions of the game (fixes, balancing), updates and expansions for two games ... Would mean the end of Gwent I guess. Maybe Beta Gwent as seasonal mode? Better forget about it and get used to the current version.

With recent popularity in the meta multi-removal combo Filippa+Falibor in respond for portal + Roche, portal+roche is not so effective as it were in last season IMO;
 
Something needs to be done about the defender scarabs that are spawned by Azar Javed. It's already pretty annoying that you can spawn two defenders. But as they are bronzes, when combined with Igor the Hook, it let's you spawn additional scarabs. I feel this is a bit unhealthy.

You pay 5 coins to get a 1 strength unit with 2 armor. That would be a terrible deal if not for the defender status. Now, it's a fair price to pay. As such, I don't have an issue with it.

I would like to see boon weathers (moonlight, golden froth) make a comeback. They promote a proactive playstyle that requires bodies on the board and it'll be a nice way to give some of the more pointslammy factions a solid long round strategy that doesn't revolve around control . I know Crimson Curse exists but that's not just for a specific deck but a specific archetype too (one of the more underplayed ones)

Given weathers' past in CB/OB I understand their reluctance to make aggressive weather too viable but boon weathers could be a good place to start.
 
hello there friends i would like to share my view. i really think that SK needs boost in the next patch, i've got couple suggestion like add card with dooming, and armor piercing units ability when more then 3 enemy units are damaged, with that armor bloodthirsty archetype was just turned in to a crap honestly .
Make Lippy Gudmund be 1 point and 9 provision please .
An Craite Warcrier 4 points instead 3 please .
Udalryk an Brokvar piercing ability
Donar an Hindar piercing ability
Svalblod Priest 6 provision
Drummond Queensguard 5 points 8 provision.
 
Nerving the meta would be a good idea so we get some real balance and variation of what the opponents chose to play.
 
what about add a shield to Adrenaline Rush that will perfectly synergize with Tesham Mutna Sword like an old Lambert ,so
that will increase purify value more .
 
CDPR need to look at the 5 META's and bloody well do something to balance it.

Where is the lore in Hen Gaidth sword killing Roche to replay Roche? Where's the lore in Francesca's Mystic Echo being able to spawn a bunch of dwarf engines you can do nothing about? Where's the sense in having hugely powerful "order" cards, yet introducing Defenders to mean that you can play them without any punishment?

The game's in a nonsensical state at the moment. Defenders need to be removed full stop, they're a dreadful idea prone to ludicrous abuse. Having ONE viable leader ability per faction is utter nonsense. What's the point in Eithne, Adda, Woodland, etc., when they just don't do anything?

I had one match where I had a 26 point lead. Without much effort my opponent pulled that back with just two cards, and went on to win the match. Utter bloody nonsense, because it was META tactics and a positive deal that helped.

The synergies that are supposed to matter - deathwish, movement, slavery, etc. - are all hampered by a low variation of available decks. The lack of usefulness of spells, weather, etc., makes it impossible to see a lot of variety. The minimum 13 unit hand also smashes variety and should be abolished. Unitless are ugly decks, but are they uglier than playing against the same Ardal- inspired NG seize game after game? It shows how much CDPR care about, that they added a unit minimum, but made it JUST enough so Ardal could have 12 tactic cards in a viable deck.

I say reduce the amount of hefty influence cards - either remove defenders entirely or make them at least 12 provs and un-creatable by bribery. The game still suffers hugely from being a reaction/prevention model first, as in stop the opponent as opposed to do your own thing. I've literally played a Roche/Syanna combo and it hasn't been enough against basic removal. Similarly I've beaten interesting SK self-harm decks by having a selection of anti=play cards.

I get the feeling the game's just not of interest to CDPR. I don't think it'll ever get where it should be.
 
As a 100% Gwent Arena player I have one simple request that I think would improve the state of Arena 1000%. I believe the final card you chose in any Arena deck that you put together should be a card of your choice out of almost all cards.

Changing the leader selection to the beginning was a great start but a big problem with Arena is that people are scared to pick leaders like Syndicate because they are afraid they won't be offered enough good Syndicate cards. Too many times I have picked the AQ Swarm leader and unluckily was never shown Glusty. I think when the final card selection comes up the game should switch over to a deck builder looking menu and give the player the option to pick one card of there choosing. It would prevent decks in arena from getting easily bricked and people could choose the one thing that fits perfectly into there deck. The obvious exception is removing Shupe from the final choice. Maybe some other cards should be off limits too. I don't think this would take that much dev time to create but it would be a lifesaver in Arena.

With one final choice of card being the players choice even the worst Arena deck might have some serious synergy and go the distance.
