Bug Reports - Witcher 3 NextGen Version

+
Just finished playing Next-Gen Blood and Wine on a RTX 3080 and have noticed the Beauclair castle popping in and out from a distance coloured bright yellow. It's really distracting. Only seems to happen at night. (see screenshots below)

Also, not really a graphic issue but you can actually escape the playable zone and avoid the message… “You are leaving the area" during The Night of the Long Fangs quest. If you go from the port docks by the sea, and then go along the beach south towards Mere-lachaiselong Cemetery and then up to Regis’s chapel. From there you can literally go anywhere (as long as you don’t try to get back to the playable area from anywhere else but the path you came from)… and the game proceeds kind of as normal. This might be game breaking as you can continue doing side quests during this time. Map attached.

Still a lot of purple objects, including purple glow from windows (like in various houses in Novigrad), with v4.01. Hopefully CDPR can get this fixed.
Game does look amazing though, makes even most games from 2022 look second rate in comparison.

(4090, Windows 11, HDR, all settings at max with RT and DLSS 3 on (except for RT shadows).

This is most likely missing textures and or altered meshes. If you've used any texture or model replacement mods in the past, please ensure you've removed them according to the author's instructions. If not, reinstalling the most recent version of the mod can rectify the issue. The worst-case scenario is that the reference data from the mod is baked into your save state, which means that you'll need to begin a new playthrough.

Xbox Series X: Gameplay has become a huge laggy mess with stuttering fps and poor performance when running and moving. This is in performance mode, switching to RTX makes it even worse. I am unsure how to properly diagnose the issue other than it seems to be related to the patch.

Anyone else getting audio issues in Skellige when it storms? In place of thunder I get an annoying buzzing sound for however long the thunder audio was supposed to last. Changing audio setting doesn’t seem to help. Also happens when using headphones. Playing on series X
I'm having the same problem. 4.01 patch didn't help either.

I have an issue with Top notch Swords guy. I just finished Bald Mountain Quest (now I am in Final Preparations) and went back to Novigrad. I wanted to sell some loot to him, but not only he reverted back to "welcome welcome", he is only selling a single Velen or Novigrad Magic Longsword, he is not selling the new witcher swords and all the previous loot I have been selling him throughout my playthrough is gone also.

I have a previous save, with the 4.01 in the screenshot, right before Isle of Mists and decided to test it and during that time, he is working as just fine (saying top notch swords and selling the new swords, plus all my equipment is there also). So is this because of the implications of Final Preparations or my save got corrupted and I have to redo all of it from Isle of Mists???

On Series S. Textures in cutscenes not loading correctly - see below, this is supposed to be wood... this is also affecting npc clothing as per my last post.

Have reported. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Did ou try to clear the cache ?
(especially if you played the game recently before updating it)

After 4.01, anyone else getting a weird ghosting effect on the right utmost side of the screen?
It becomes siginificantly more noticable when turning the camera to the right, in dark spaces.

It's not the mods causing it, because it persists even after I rename the "MODS" folder.

EDIT: It's the new SSR setting they've fixed. It indeed works if set on 'high' now, however it produces the visual glitch, epsecially noticable if looking at water.

Thanks - I did, it hasn't seemed to have any effect. Also reset my Xbox. Here's another example in case it's useful.

Since I am not able to create a new thread yet.

CD PROJEKT RED PLEASE NOTE THIS BUG. PS5.

Starting a dialogue with a peddler on the map opens two instances of the peddler, which prevents buying inventory.

The original peddler encountered hangs around in the background during the dialogue (as can be seen in Fig 3, he is the peddler in Fig 1).

There is a bug on my game once you help Siri steal the 3 horses the mark o’dimm gives you randomly reappears even though I’ve already completed his story line

I'm having the same problem I believe, reported in a previous post:

Very strange issue going on that is bugging me. I have this darker bar at the right of my screen when using DLSS quality or balanced, OR FSR quality at 1440p and using SSR reflections

It is very noticeable with water reflections. When I move the camera strip lags, making the image awful

All this settings combinations I've mentioned are important.
- Turning off DLSS and it is gone.
- Lowering DLSS to performance, or FSR to balance or performance, gone.
- Turning on RT reflections, gone again no matter the DLSS settings.
- Go to 1080p or 4K also gone, no matter the other settings.

Sounds like some weird mix of reconstruction and screen space reflections at 1440p.

Fella at this topic https://steamcommunity.com/app/292030/discussions/0/3768985348691954097/ posted screenshots and he also have this issue (I don't have the other bugs he has)

Not sure if this was introduced with 4.01, since I didn't played the "next gen upgrade" before this version, and there doesn't seem to be a way to downgrade.

Anyone also having this? Anyway to fix it?

(RTX 3080 TI driver ver 528.24, ryzen 5800x, 32gb of ram, if this matters. My game is not modded)

The 4.01 patch improved performance for me even when GI is in quality. But it didn' do anything with what the greatest problem is for me with the next-gen version: The game constantly crashes in swampy areas like Crookback bog and in underground elven ruins. The game cannot run more than a minute in these areas, and it almost certainly crashes when I start a fight or use a sign in these regions. The game runs fine in every other region (i may get a crash every few hours but that's life).

This only happens in DX12 mode (regardless of whether raytracing is on or off). DX11 is stable.

I have a Ryzen 3700X and a Radeon 7900 XT. I do not use any overclocking.

It seems to be a timeout issue for the GPU. The image freezes, and after a while the game exits to Windows. If I increase the timeout delay in regedit, the frozen image stays on for more time before exiting.

I did a fresh install of the radeon driver, checked game files integrity, and I do not use any mods.

Does anyone know about this bug, or have ideas to solve it?

Screen Space Reflections in supposedly High quality look terribly bad by the way. Too much obvious shifting and too many visual differences between what is reflected or not when moving the camera. And it also reflects things that don't exist at all, like fake hills and green forests on the horizon. This is most evident in Skellige, when you are in the middle of the sea and everything is grey, white and snowy, but the water reflects huge green hills on the horizon when you are not facing any.

SSR High Quality 01.jpg SSR High Quality 02.jpg SSR High Quality 03.jpg
(don't mind the weird contrast / gamma, that's because the game is running in HDR)

Seriously!? It definitely looks more buggy than an enjoyable feature to me.

Bug: several Icons are missing in inventory after TW3 NG installed, any Ideas ? no mods , v4.01

PC, related to "Of Swords and Dumplings":

You can enter Van Hoorn's warehouse too early simply by walking through the locked door. Can't remember if I had the quest already under way at that point or not.
In the warehouse you can use your witcher senses to identify the crates and interact with them, which renders them unusable when you actually try to mark them for pickup in the quest, making it uncompletable.

Possibly a bug in the "Towerful of Mice" quest. After fighting the plague maiden I needed to talk to Keira about Graham, but I lacked such an option. When I fast traveled back to Fyke Island then I heard Keira's voice for a moment, but it quickly cut short. Fortunately, this moved the quest forward as the game reckoned I spoke to Keira and I could set about finding Graham.

PC, version 4.01.

I've noticed npcs are popping in more often in this 4.01 patch on ps5. Also, I THINK there's less foliage and grass with the 4.01 on ps5 now
