Why there isn't any after-end/after-war content? (Spoilers)

Does anyone on this forum understand the concept of an ending? It's terminal. It's finite. It's decisive. That's the freaking point of an ending. It concludes the story and by extension the game. Really, every game should end when the story is over. That Witcher 3 allows you to continue is a favour to perfectionists with unfinished quests, not a core gameplay feature for which the developers have to spend time on. The game is over. What do people not understand this. There are a great many concerns and flaws over this game, but the fact that the ending is treated as an ending, is not one of them. Such a silly criticism.

Then when it ends it should just fade to black and END...

But no, it is not ended if you can keep playing...that would be the opposite of stop...that would be play as in keep playing. At the very least the continuing world should reflect the END you created as a result of the choices you made.

problem with after ending gameplay is there are way too many variables to take under consideration so that the world will display your choices, which in turn would have required ALOT more time making the game and resources and HD space, the thing is that RED has let the players continue playing in the world like in GTA games, imo that was a mistake the game should have ended when you got the credits for finishing the game and what ever content you did not do, you will have have a fresh go at the game again or load an earlier save and go for it, personally i dont like that option and think it should be cut out of games.

I'd be surprised if CDP isn't working on something like this now. Yeah side quests and contracts aside, really do need some post-story content.

This is not an linear game but an open world, let's not talk about endings, we got decent endings but not even close to epic, like the game is (my opinion is that they rush a bit the game and make the endings in a hurry), we are talking about post ending gameplay. This game do not have a post ending gameplay, a reason to explore again some areas to see the changes after the main story, skyrim for example have an very good post ending gameplay system and was maybe the main reason why skyrim has so much success. The Witcher 3 is better then skyrim and better then any other open world game except that he actually force you to finish all the side quest you want and all stuff before the main quest, if not you will be in an empty and lonely world and with no reason to play those dam side quest or explore more after you finish the main story. This is wrong for an open world game in my opinion.

If it is game over after mainstory ends, why bother creating the huge world, why bother making a lot of sidequests, why bother filling the maps with anything at all, all those are there for a reason, why there are 2 major expansions for it, why there will be REDkit2 ?

The whole point of this discussion is to make the game better however you play it, whenever you want to replay it, why anyone has any objection to that ? Every day there is almost always a new thread saying the game is dead after the credit rolls, why ?

WHY ?
