BIG patch coming in 6-7 days

I see alot of people on forums firing on CDPR and the W3.
For some people like me, who have followed CDPR and Witcher since its early days we know very well what this company is and what this game repsresents.
NO, CDPR is not the new EA-Ubisoft and will never be! I dont recall EA nor Ubi removing DRM`s from their games. CD Project Red is a company that has many times shown that it respects its followers and has shown that with many different ways.

OBVIOUSLY there will be bugs in the game, there will be possible improvements and other issues. Not even a week has pasted since the release and some people acting like crazy. We all contribute on making the game better and CDPR always listens to the end user and consider its feedback important.

I have nothing to do with CDPR nor i represent something nor i speak on behalf of someone, its just that some comments are unfair.

The game is amazing even with its bugs, its downgrades e.t.c

Be patient, be supportive and eventually we will get there...just as we did with W1 and W2

After all what happened the last Years in the Industry, i can understand that People are raging a bit over the top. Its just they feared CDPR, the last trusted AAA Dev. could become a sellout like others bevore. I totaly can understand it.

Im with them since their first Game, i know their Dev´s are Geniuses, but i was disappointet too.
I look in the Future now, and if CDPR still are those guys i loved the last Years, im shure everything will become fine between them and us again.

After all, written words shouldnt be taken too serious. In the heat, something harsh is typed very quick in the Keyboard. Im sure we all want the same. Fun with the Witcher 3. The downgrade aside, we all can agree that this game is epic, more Art than a normal Game. When CDPR now manage to push the Grafics to a never before reached Level, they will make themself immortal.

*fingercross*

People were yelling "CDPR the new Ubisoft/EA", etc etc. People never played the game, and still yelled their opinion on a topic they didn't understood. There's also people, I saw that alot on forums, and it's kinda weird, who wants the game to fail, in order to prove a point. "Told you guys, it was gonna fail", that thing was common on games forums those last days.

I have come to believe that fairness and restraint are not commodities easily found on the internet. We are starting to see CDPR come out and say they feel bad about the reaction and want to do something about it (thanks CDPR). But I'm sad that they feel bad instead of feeling great about their achievement.

There are all sorts of opinions on many games which the anonymity of the internet encourages to extreme.
As an example, and recognising that Metacritic has its flaws, this is my favourite 0/10 review for TW3, quoted in full :p

"As the official withcer 3 authority i can safely say that this game is beyond a shadow of a doubt, an unmitigated piece of high brow sexists neo nazi anti feminist pornography trash, and its combat is trash. Geralts hair is white, i wish he was cool like spyro cause spyo is what a like and what i want......0/10 xbox is for posers"

I do hope that when this patch arrives, that there is not more hate about the things it doesn't do, or does in ways particular individuals didn't want.

I completely understand and this is what I've been trying to tell people from day one since the downgrade issue came out.

Maybe they should add a texture pack optional download like they did with Skyrim for those that want to run the game as intended .
either was give it a while and im sure the modders on the Nexus will release one along with loads of other stuff too.

TBHO i understand that doing a multiplatform game helped them a lot for money. Its ok. But it DOESNT EXCUSE : 1- creating bullshit game version just for "gameplay trailer" and creating a hype ( like watch dogs did, and its even worse for TW3 ) 2- having VERY poor optimisation on PC 3- creating ugly Time of Day... downgrading everything ( particles, lightning, view distance, no volumetric god ray, flat ligthning ( certainly no GI at all ).. etc.

Sorry but NO doing a multiplatform game do not excuse everything. And personly i dont really forgive devs doing thoses kind of things. ( whatever how the game itself is awesome, they lie, they lie end of story. )

---------- Updated at 11:27 PM ----------

understand me correctly, i really like TW3 for the game itself even tho ( and i still think they made a very very great RPG game ),but all the optimization / graphic issue / key mapping issue are more demotivating than anything else to fully enjoy the game. And that's why i'am still at the very first area..

Optimization is very good, i can even run this game on my HD 6850 in 25-30 fps + Q6600 OC 2,9 .... So yeah "bad" optimization, good joke.

All settings on Ultra except Nvidia hairworks here steady 40-50 fps (usually average 45). i7 3.4gigsGTX770 4GB version16 DDR3 ram

4 GB Ram on 1920x1080 and latest drivers but i only tested White Orchard. Settings mix most things on LOW, grass distance on medium, textures and level of detail on high, v sync off. So yeah this game can be played even on WOODEN PC.

Im sure ultra settings will set furter. Like we have seen in config.ini tweaking. Dont expect to much of this, im sure the graphics can be seen now if you tweak it. Tessalation of the ground is not working yet (source: nVidia)

GTX 670 2GB, I7 4.5, 12GB RAM, SSD 240: ( Edited: @1920x1080 )
- All on Ultra: 25~29 FPS
- All on High: 28~32 FPS
- Playing with a mix of Ultra and High, no hairworks, no motion blur ('cause I dont like it): 35~42 FPS, and looking gorgeous both the game and myself =]
=D
That's not bad at all for a "non-optimized-downgraded-may-cause-you-cancer-game" huh?!?

KUDOS CDKP!!

OK. I'm going to lock this.
- The PC patch referred to in the OP is already out.
- Console patches are currently going through certification.

If you have suggestions for what needs to be fixed/changed, it's best to discuss it in a thread specific to the suggestion.
