Freezing winter in Skellige

Not is perfect, but I did just to get a feel for how Skellige would be covered in snow ...
Of course it needs some tweaking here and there, fixes flaws in some textures, but it's functional;
I thought of including in an optional version of Lighting Deluxe 3.1.1, but I still do not know ...
I also need to increase the amount of snow particles

The mod will soon be released for download, but will not be compatible with other lighting mods, even if it's something just for Skellige, you'll have to do this manually using the right tools

 

• Textures in 4K (Skyrim withdrawals and edited for TW3) were all improved
• New grass model (Files never used by CDPR)
• Skellige horses edited for the snow environment (Optional)
• Intense snow with higher particle quality
• New Cutscene model created only for Skellige
 
Looks nice. I wish dynamic decals weren't so buggy. I actually made snow particles leave blobs of snow once they reach the ground, but as I said, it was buggy.

For a better experience, I simply disabled the vignette.
I also made some color adjustments by removing the bluish tint

• Amount of particles increased further

• New balance map was created for the adaptation of the
environment using Photoshop and HxD

• New grass model (Files never used by CDPR)

• Skellige horses edited for the snow environment (Optional)

• New Cutscene model created only for Skellige

I wonder if it is possible to force these textures to be activated after the second visit to Skellige or every second for example? Something like this.

Best to PM bc I rarely visit Discord. It's very simple. You just add and customize decal chunks to blizzard and snow w2p files like you would to any, but you have to understand that snow and rain may be perceived as particles close-up and far-away, they are actually within like 30ft of Geralt. That's where you would get your decals, although there are some w2p files for distant FX. In the end it ended up very resource-consuming and I never got it to look good, but maybe you'll succeed where I failed.

The mod size in the MODS folder is 4GB
For download, it will have 2GB, the textures are high quality and fully rebuilt

A pity that I had to remove certain files from the shaders_directx11 folder
In w2w, it does not work 100%, there will always be remnants of grass here and there...
If there was a way to keep it that way, without affecting other regions... :think:
