I've heard the second is quite a bad looter shooter, and goddamn if I hate looter shooters. Do you confirm? If you're not familiar with Shadow Warrior games, 1 and 2 are definitely worth a try before the 3rd come out![]()

They did go this way in the second one, yes. Which was a rather odd design decision after part 1. Core mechanics & shooting were still good though.I've heard the second is quite a bad looter shooter, and goddamn if I hate looter shooters. Do you confirm?

You, my friend, have a great taste when it comes to games.Got Bulletstorm vibes from that footage, which is a huge + in my book.
You mean "skyrim but nice" right?Obsidian trying their hands on a (supposedly) Skyrim-like game based on the Pillars of Eternity setting.

Well, I have no idea how "nice" it will be. But odds are, it will have better narrative design than what Bethesda has done like.... ever, I suppose (quality of writing notwithstanding...).You mean "skyrim but nice" right?
It won’t, most probably. I don’t expect this game to improve on both the formula and the particular success of its previous entries, “lightning doesn’t strike the same place twice”. But I’m still eager to see more about it, I’ve never played games like it (open world shooters with an emphasis on emergent gameplay). With all that's come out since CoP, how will it be able stand out and match the impact the first game had?
No idea about the quality of Avowed but I wouldn’t worry about the mainline Pillars of Eternity games until Obsidian says they’re done with them. This is a spin-off, as far as I know.Awoved, though... No idea what kind of game it'll become. It has an interesting basis, but the history of isometric games going first person is a history systemic and mechanical decline of huge proportions (most notably seen in the Fallout series).
Finally got around to watch this gameplay demo. The over-the-top Doom-y combat, the visuals, the level design, the stupid jokes... I’m f**king sold!17 minutes of Wangness!
DefinitelyNothing was interesting. Sony won for me.
On a side note, if anyone is interested in the new crash bandicoot, stay tuned on Friday afternoon (European time).![]()
