@blackgriffin yeah MOBA and Adventure Game are the 2 smaller projects from Kraków I guess.

These 2 mobile games have nothing to do with two smaller project that are developed in Krakow. MOBA is being developed by Fuero Games, The mobile board game is developed in Warsaw i think but definitely they are not connected to those 2 "smaller projects"

Isn't Warner Bros. the publisher for both the games? I doubt they'd do this.

Exactly. That date on amazon is just a placeholder, I doubt WB would launch two of their most major titles on the same day. As far as I know they like money.

How can you be sure though? That release slate we saw a while ago said two standalone Witcher related projects, and we're getting two standalone Witcher related projects. There might be something else in the pipeline made by Krakow, but I think it might be something along the lines of a companion app for the W3, so it wouldn't be considered standalone (pure speculation).

CDP's strategy report for 2013-2016

2013

- open REDkit beta and further support of the modding community

No, Warner is the Distributor for Witcher 3 in North America.
@sneky

apart from the bold part, it looks like it's just Cyberpunk 2077, licensing REDengine and REDKit full version left, so there wouldn't be coming anything new I guess, if the hold on to that report.

The Adventure game in physical and digital form could be considered as two games.

Nonetheless, this is a strategy report, quite an old one at that too, strategies change all the time depending on different circumstances.

Not really... Ignacy Trzewiczek created Adventure Game, no CDPR.

It's still on the list: "premiere of the first non-computer game set in the Witcher world". Also, CDPR still owns it, regardless of who designed it.

So what exactly is your point?

I am pretty sure like 99 %. Here is why. Firstly, looking at company strategy for year 2013 and years 2014-2016 (game production) published in 21 march 2013, we can see that the board game was actually planned for year 2013. Later on it was pushed till 2014. IIN strategy for years 2014-16 there are 4 different project listed as follows:
- Witcher 3
-Cyberpunk 2077
- 2 smaller (gameplay time approximately 20 hours long) top quality projects supporting one of main production lines
- cross-platform game for mobile devices based on one of our brands

As you can see, these 2 smaller project are listed separately from mobile game. Board game is listed in previous year.
Secondly, if you study job offers you can sometimes predict what people are doing and where. For example, CD project REd were looking for producer specialised in mobile games for a position in Warsaw. So, it is most likely that mobile game was being developed in Warsaw (board game version, maybe CD projekt part of Moba game). We know from Adam KIciński that one of these smaller projects is being developed in Krakow (starting in july 2013). I am not sure about the other one. If you look at job offers in Krakow, you can see a position of a writer is open. Writer writes dialogs, design plots and so on. You don't need one for mobile game. Also, the job require extensive knowledge of Sapkowski books which says to me that they are working on witcher product. My guess is (educated one) that Krakow studio develops Witcher 3 paid expansions offering 15-20 hours of gameplay each.

Yes but info about 2 smaller project originated from this strategy so it applies here. It clearly means that mobile game were already listed separately from these 2 smaller project. So they cannot be the same

Expansions would make sense, especially since CDPR have said that they're inclined to create proper expansions for the game if it does well. I'm sold on the idea, but if that's true it's going to be a while until we hear about them.

That makes no sense from Warner Bros since they will mostly hurt North American sales of TW3. Overall I actually believe TW3 will be sold more around the world.

Interesting article. Here's a bit that might be (un)pleasant for some: "Depending on how you want to build your character, you can reset the build and do it again if you want."

Also: "(...) but when you go and rest at a fireplace, they are immediately refuelled." - Does that mean that fireplaces will make a return, so you can't just meditate anywhere?

Finally: "(...) This is the most important thing in a game, and I think that we achieve it; it’s the most important for me. And of course there’s the horse combat! But we didn’t show it in the demo." - They seem to be excited about and satisfied with the horse combat, maybe it turned out to be better than they expected.

You can, for example, influence the choosing of the king in one of these lands

:wat:

Skellige maybe? New Jarl? I can't imagine it being Novigrad.

Also -

and if you don’t have a crossbow with you, and you cannot take him down to the ground - so if you unlock the second aspect of the Quen sign, you can hold the shield, and if he hits the shield, he will go down and you’ve got a window to hit him.
CROSSBOW UNNECESSARY! ;)

I can't see any problem with a respec option, it's not like TW2 had some 'hardcore' skill trees where if you went into one path you had to learn to use it extremely effectively otherwise you couldn't progress, you could play with any of the paths and play the game almost the same.

On the contrary there were issues like if you didn't pick riposte from swordsman then the mist fight playing as Seltkirk becomes harder.

I got a little confused over what they were talking about with the respec, but based on some other things they've said, I was suspecting it might be something to do with the mutagens? If they're not starting from "trainee witcher" again, then maybe the levelling up will be changing quite significantly.

I generally feel there should be a heavy cost to respecing. I thought ME2 did it right, you couldn't just respec endlessly because you had limited resources. On the monsters, it kind of sounds like the big, dangerous ones will stick to their own territory, blocking your paths to fully explore the world. I wonder how much dynamic/random encounters there are aside from that and if the AI changes their domains when you replay. It'd be predictable knowing the same Werewolf under the bridge will be there every time.

It's been mentioned several times that our choices would shape the world around us. does that extend to lives of the main characters ?
to put it simple and straight forward, do you think we will be able to get rid of that fucking bastard good for nothing poet ?!
:hmm:
